Frequently Asked Questions
What is HTM 03-01?
HTM 03-01 is the Health Technical Memorandum that sets standards for specialised ventilation in healthcare buildings. Part A covers validation of new systems, Part B covers ongoing annual verification. Compliance is mandatory for all NHS trusts and healthcare facilities with critical ventilation.
What is LEV testing?
LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) testing is the statutory thorough examination required under COSHH Regulation 9. It confirms your extraction system is still controlling hazardous substances effectively. Most systems must be tested at least every 14 months.
Why should ventilation testing be independent?
Most testing companies also sell, install, or maintain ventilation equipment, creating a conflict of interest. An independent tester has no reason to pass a failing system or recommend unnecessary work. You get an honest assessment of performance.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in the North West (Manchester, Bolton, Lancashire) and cover the whole of the UK. Most of our regular work is within a 90-minute radius, but we travel nationally for larger contracts.
How do I get a quote?
Contact us with details of what you need testing (system type, number of rooms/hoods, location) and we will provide a free, no-obligation quote, typically within one business day.
